FULLHOUSE - CHERAS

I remember this eatery created quite a rave when it first makes its presence in Klang Valley. When my colleague mention to me about this place during the opening at Ara Damansara outlet, I didn’t give much thought or interest. My quick conclusion - just another lifestyle café which is sprouting on every nook and corner of the city. Fast forward, I did pay this place a visit at a later stage and it didn’t disappoint.

You see, is not so much of the cuisine serve here, but the atmosphere, décor and its concept has that impressive and appealing feel. Step in, and you’ll notice the soft white shade dominating the interior of the café. It has that Victorian style décor and with lounge-style sofa being placed at some of the angle, and truly, it exudes warmth and coziness. And this being a Korean inspired eatery, they do stock Korean's apparel, home décor items and knick-knacks which are for sale!

Recently, I spotted this outlet at the newly opened Giant Hypermarket – across the Cheras Kajang hightway – just after the 9th miles toll and we decide to have lunch there.
Retaining the same concept and atmosphere, menu is very much infused with fusion elements and if decent meal is your pick of the day, then go for the set lunches which is available during week days only. All set lunches comes with a soup of the day, main course, dessert and also ice lemon tea drinks.

Glimpse of its menu

Dory Fillet Set (RM16.90 +).

Creamy Potato Soup

Creamy potato soup was the soup of the day. With slight creaminess and tiny bits of potato, I thought it was tasty and well cooked. But it would certainly do justice to the soup if it was served hot. When it arrived, it was neither warm nor cold, should I say…..“room” temperature?

Dory Fish

Lightly pan-fry to perfection, top with saute mushroom and infused with light cream sauce. Fish texture was flaky, but I somehow feel is has that slight fishy smell. Added to the dish is a stem of blanch Chinese leafy vegetable (chinese pak choy) and mash potato which was placed beneath the fish. If only the fish could be fresher…..

Cabonara Spaghetti Set (RM16.90+)

Cabonara Spaghetti

Texture of pasta was just nice, with creamy sauce and generous chunks of chicken ham and mushroom. Perfect for pasta lover.

Rosella Spaghetti (a-la-carte @ RM16.90+)

Rosella Spaghetti

Nothing special about this dish. Another of your run-of-the mill pasta, generously coated with tomato puree sauce and some succulent prawns. I just wish the prawns could be bigger in size!

Tangy & refreshing ice lemon tea

Desserts
I thought the dessert simply fall short of my expectation. Is just another version of sponge cake, sludge with whipping cream amidst in different flavour. Kind of dry to me and honestly, you can give it a miss – no regret!

Cozy ambiance

Palate summing-up:
Will i make a second/repeat visit to this eatery? - No harm.
